Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 unboxing and initial hands on review

There is no shortage of tablets from Samsung, expecially in the 7-inch category. They started with the original Galaxy Tab, then the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and finally the Galaxy Tab 7.7. Samsung isn’t resting as they showed off the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 / 10.1 at Mobile World Congress. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 isn’t an upgrade from previous tabs, but more of a price-driven concept. The specs aren’t jaw-dropping, but will satisfy the average consumer. It’s priced at $249, which makes this the first tablet from mainstream Android manufacturers that can actually compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire in terms of price.
As for the specs, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 8 GB of internal storage, microSD for up to an additional 32GB of storage, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and the latest edition of TouchWiz.
Another notable is that all users will get 50GB of Dropbox storage for one year. You will be able to get your hands on it on April 22, but for now check out our initial hands on video (after the break) and look for our full review soon.
