Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 unboxing and initial hands on review

A few weeks ago, Samsung released the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which of course is a 7-inch Android tablet. Today marks the release of the 10.1-inch version of that same tablet. Other than the display size, resolution, and storage capacity, the only other difference is the placement of the speakers. This tab gets them in the front to the left and right of the display along the bezel, which will obviously give a better sound experience. The full specs include a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) display, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD for up to an additional 32GB of storage, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and the latest edition of TouchWiz.
It’s priced at $399, and is available now at most major retailers. I thought the Galaxy Tab 7.0 was a great value at $249, but will this one be the same? There’s already major competition with the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300. Not only does it have the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core chip, but it’s also $20 cheaper. I will do a full review, but for now hit the break for the initial hands on review.
